My name is Manon. I read and write and review in San Diego, California.
You can find me solving literary crimes (I mean, talking about mystery books) on Instagram (@mysterymanon), TikTok (@mysterymanon), Goodreads, and now YouTube (@mystery_manon). I have enjoyed creating bookish content for four years, helping promote books by indie authors, small presses, and traditional publishers. I’ve even had the pleasure to partner with publishers like HarperCollins, Macmillan, and Penguin Random House Canada.
Founded in 2021, the Cluesletter is my biweekly email newsletter for my fellow literary detectives. Each issue includes mystery-related news, new releases, podcasts, eBook deals, and an interview with a featured author. To learn more and sign up, click here.
My own writing has appeared in Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine’s Jan/Feb 2025. Look for “Kanab Noon” in the Department of First Stories.
My day job is as Publishing Operations Manager for AuthorImprints, helping self-published authors create and promote their books. Check out our new workbook Before the Launch, on sale now.
I am a member of San Diego Professional Editors Network, the Independent Book Publishers Association, the Alliance of Independent Authors, Publishers & Writers of San Diego, and my local Toastmasters International club. I hold a degree in Art History with a minor in French from Chapman University, which I credit for my obsessions with beautiful books and the Chicago Manual of Style. As for the mystery obsession, I can only blame Trixie Belden, Nancy Drew, and my own nosy inclinations.
